Gunblade Focus Extra Drive

Introduced in the 04/01/2026 patch, Gunblade Focus Extra Drive allows you to consume 3 levels of Gunblade Focus to gain one charge of Super Slug Shot. This is a powerful burst damage tool that generates significant Photon Blast gauge and instantly fills the Unleashed Rage meter.

While active, the skill also enhances your PAs by adding a secondary though weaker Relentless Blade hit. Consequently, unless you are performing Counters or using Unleashed Rage, your rotation should primarily consist of Stay Arts Shifting Spica, Stay Arts Waving Rigel, and Stay Arts Flowing Sirius Stages 1 and 2.

Gunblade Focus Extra Drive has a duration of 30 seconds, during which you cannot enter Gunblade Focus Overdrive. It has a 90-second cooldown, so plan your burst windows accordingly.

• Wait until you reach Gunblade Focus Level 5 before using the Super Slug Shot, as using it earlier will result in lower damage output.
• Avoid using the regular Slug Shot while Gunblade Focus Extra Drive is active. Only the Super version provides enough value to justify its use during this window.

Canceling Stay Arts Flowing Sirius Stages 1 and 2 into Weapon Action Stages 1-3 remains a DPS increase, though canceling strictly into Weapon Action Stage 1 is even more effective.

While Stay Arts Reaping Regulus (Customization 3) still offers respectable DPS, the previously mentioned PAs are generally superior during this window.
